Responsibilities
- Responsible for taking digital images and manipulating them to produce a high-quality product
- Must be a creative, imaginative artist to help produce photo realistic compositions with expert knowledge in photo color correction
- Responsible for maintaining high quality while executing high volume of images under very tight deadlines
- Collaborates with the creative teams to develop print, OOH, new business presentations and advertising campaigns
- Able to interpret creative direction from Art Directors and Retouching Manager and apply to final product
- Participate in peer teams to improve efficiency, quality, service and profitability
- Identify and develop systems to support efficiency
- Communicate with other teams in order to proactively address discrepancies and solve issues
- Applies appropriate profile to supplied image according to publication, save in the proper format and proof out to assess starting point of image
- Evaluates DPI adequacy to final output size and adjusts if necessary or notify production manager
- Is an expert at retouching and color adjustment.

- Must prepare art for production and publishing: checks ink densities according to publication specs, link hi-res art to mechanical before proofing, evaluate color bars for color calibration accuracy, prepares proofs and PDFs
- Utilize Approvals Plus (ProofHQ) for reviewing work when appropriate.
- Must possess strong communication skills and an artistic intuition
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work flexible hours
Attributes
- Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, Layers/Sets, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, batch processing.
- Expert knowledge in color theory & different printing process
- Must have a strong sense of color/design and the ability to perform as an assistant to the creative team in areas such as layout, design and image composition
- Must be able to anticipate and execute what a client or art director wants to achieve
- Must have strong creative skills in order to effectively create the desired results easily and efficiently
- Superior knowledge and skills of software programs within the Mac environment
- Superior knowledge of Illustrator knowledge a plus , must have knowledge of output devices such as color printers and large format inkjet devices.
- Working with premedia specifications, such as ink density, print process and final file size
- Must be able to deal with a flexible process that is ever evolving to meet the clients' needs.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines
- Must be self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong creative vision, communication skills and problem solving abilities
